Hi, I’m Anastasia

My life's mission revolves around my name, chosen with a prayer and a serendipitous encounter with a cat named Burpy.

My parents wanted my initials to  spell “ASK”, important to them  so that I would never forget to ASK for what I need in life, whether to the uni/multiverse/God, myself or whoever.

Raised with the mantra "ask and you shall receive," I've learned that  *action*  is essential for true change. By asking we are taking action, leading us down the path of receiving what we truly need to feel complete and content, which we deserve.

ANASTASIA

Latin roots suggest “against (an) balance (stasis)” reflecting my lifes journey of seeking to balance my internal environment.

The Greek meaning of Anastasia is “one who will rise again” or more simply “resurrection”. Like a Phoenix I shall rise from the flames of transformation coming back to life after chronic illness.

Learning this meaning empowered me to find the way and support I needed to persevere and heal.

This lesson empowered me to define my needs and advocate for myself in a world where so many voices are often silenced.

If you’re here, and interested in working with me, it’s because you are feeling inspired to advocate for yourself, to take action, and to ASK for the BALANCE you seek, and deserve.

My philosophy & Approach

I believe in the body’s innate ability to heal and desire to be balanced. Though various factors, like toxin and environmental input, play major roles in the state of that balance.

It's important for me to remember that my body CAN feel great and function as nature intended it to– like the magical small universe that it is; and to know that there are things within my power to heal myself!

I  believe WE hold the power to our own health. I do believe there is a time and place where western medicine is important and sometimes, the only option (please don't call a homeopath if your finger’s been chopped off!). That said, the medical culture of the last century leans towards taking the power away from the patient. It's the “I'm the doctor so just do what I say” attitude that was never very helpful or empowering in my personal search to feel better.

YOU are your best healer, the rest of us practitioners are just team members to support you reaching your goals.

Healing comes with empowerment, and that comes from within and a team of support.

And always remember, healing is a non-linear journey; so make sure you have a good team for the journey!

Health is not a one size fits all thing. All bodies are different and require different support, different approaches and different remedies. We will zero-in on not only what is going on in your body but why and what the root cause might be; and together we will work towards a solution.

Most chronic issues take years to develop, like a tightly wound ball of yarn with dozens of knots, it takes time and patience and strategy to get the first few threads loose, and as time goes on, with steady guidance and self-care, that ball eventually becomes so loose the knots fall out more easily until eventually the tight ball no longer exists.

I aim to take a “no numbers'' approach– We won't be using measuring devices such as a tape measure and weight scales, but why? The old paradigm of “diet culture” is flawed and in my opinion detracts from our goal of empowerment, improving physical function and joy to be embodied. After all, how can we feel empowered when the word “diet” literally reminds us of death? I'm here to LIVE, and THRIVE and enjoy this human experience as much as possible!

When you feel great,

you look great,

you radiate!

My health
story

I have experienced the profound ups and downs and the full spectrum of emotions when it comes to my relationship with my body and its function…. Or dysfunction.

I've navigated intense episodes with my body, enduring various health issues like viruses, candida, hormonal imbalances, IBS, emotional traumas, and endometriosis, etc. I’ve had countless diagnoses, some resonated while others did not.

I know all too well the saga of top-tier specialists shrugging their shoulders at me (or worse, calling me attention seeking or mentally ill); thus losing faith in the professionals, and losing faith in my own ability to feel better in my body.

I embarked on a personal healing journey, relying on patience, discipline,  self-compassion and grace.

I’ve healed my internal environment so much I am able to enjoy the relationship I have with my body and food so much more than I ever remember being able to in my younger years!

My aim for clients mirrors my own experience: guiding them to connect with their bodies, their own nourishment (body & soul), and find the support for the healing journey.
